D. Shinetsog-Geni

D. Shinetsog is a graduate of the Mongolian State Conservatory and a professional morin khuur soloist and educator. He combines the traditions of Mongolian music with contemporary concert-stage expression and is actively introducing the art of the morin khuur to international audiences.

He has performed at prestigious international venues including Bing Concert Hall, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, NHK Hall, the Colosseum, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts.

His achievements include the Grand Prix at the Mongolian National Competition for Traditional Musicians, First Prize at the Franz Schubert International Music Competition, and the Grand Prix at an international traditional arts competition held in Nessebar, Bulgaria. He was also named Musician of the Year at the Mungun Mod Awards 2015.
