“Chulugen” Morin Khuur Quartet

The “Chulugen” Morin Khuur Quartet is a professional ensemble established in 2021 under the Mongolian State Morin Khuur Orchestra. The quartet consists of M. Bat-Ulzii, Ts. Ankhbayar, O. Tumurkhuyag, and M. Munkhbat, all professional musicians and graduates of the Mongolian State Conservatory.

Their repertoire includes works by Mongolian composers as well as composers from the international classical and contemporary repertoire. A distinctive feature of the ensemble is that all four members are also trained in the art of khoomei throat singing.

The quartet has developed its own artistic activities both in Mongolia and internationally and has toured extensively throughout Asia and Europe.
